Application Payment

This screen will allow you to pay application fees for Home tests, Supervised tests and Psychologists forms using your Visa or Mastercard or your PayPal account if you have one. We use PayPal to handle this to ensure your security. PayPal is used by millions of Ebay users and other businesses every day. You may view the Product Disclosure statement, User agreement and Privacy Policy for PayPal use on the View Cart screen.

You select the items you want to pay for by clicking on the [Add to cart] Button next to the description. These get added to a PayPal shopping cart/shopping basket.

Please enter the General Information and, if applying for a supervised test, confirm you meet Eligibility criteria. These will appear in your cart as zero cost items.

You can view the contents of your cart at any time and change or delete items, by clicking on the [View Cart] buttons at the top and bottom of this page. The cart will also be displayed when you add a new item to the cart.

Once you have finished adding items clicked on "Proceed to checkout" on the Cart contents screen to pay.

On the credit card payment screen, you will need to enter your address, phone and email details which we will use to send you information. It is not until after you have displayed the Review Payment Screen and then clicked on the Pay Now button that your transaction actually occurs.


GENERAL INFORMATION

Please enter the name of the person taking the test or requiring a Psychologists form. This may different from the name on the credit card. Also enter the person's date of birth. This information will appear in the items list, adding 1 to the item count but will not attract a charge. After filling in the text boxes click on the [Add details] button.

SUPERVISED TEST APPLICATIONS

Eligibility issues

  • Applicant's must be at least 14 years old to sit the supervised test and must have a parent's permission if they are under 18.
  • Psychologists with knowledge of or experience in giving IQ tests may not be eligible to sit the normal entry tests.
  • If you have previously taken a Mensa test you may not be eligible to sit again.

    If any of these situations apply, you should contact the Recruiting Officer before making an on-line payment. Otherwise click on the [Confirmation] button below to acknowledge you have read the criteria and you are eligible to sit the test.

    Concession
    Concession rates are available to applicants who are on a pension, unemployed or are full time students.

    If claiming a pension or unemployed concession enter your Centrelink reference number.

    You will need to send a scanned image or photocopy of the card or document to the office by mail, fax or email or bring it with you to the test.

    If claiming a student concession enter the student ID. Please note that applicants must be at least 14 years of age before they can sit for a supervised test. Candidates under 18 should send a scanned image or photocopy of a signed letter of permission to the office by mail, fax or email or bring it to the test.

    For tertiary students, you will need to send a scanned image or photocopy of your student card or other document to the office by mail, fax or email or bring it with you to the test.

    For secondary students, just enter the name of your school.

    HOME TEST APPLICATIONS

    The home test is similar to one of the two supervised tests used for entry into Mensa.

    You will need to time yourself in order to get an accurate assessment of your likelihood to pass the supervised test.

    You will receive an indication of your performance relative to your chances of passing the entry test and not an actual IQ score.

    Applicants who may be ineligible for the Supervised test (see above) should not apply for the Home Test.

    PSYCHOLOGIST FORM APPLICATIONS

    The psychologist form is used to qualify for Mensa admission based on results of an IQ test conducted by a registered psychologist. The form itself must be filled in by the psychologist who performed the test.

    Before you request the form, make sure that the test you took is one accepted by Mensa Australia as listed on our Qualifying page and that your results correspond to the passing result listed there.

    If both these conditions are not met your application will not be accepted, but you can still sit for a supervised test and gain entry that way.
